Shooting Incident At Shopping Centre In Finglas

An appeal for information has been made by Gardaí following a shooting incident at a shopping centre in Finglas on Saturday, 09 April.

The incident occurred in the car park of the Charlestown Shopping centre, near the fast food outlets, at around 6.15pm.

No-one was injured in the shooting.

Gardaí have said a man discharged a firearm a number of times before being driven away in a silver Volkswagen Golf. The car was later found burnt out in Shancastle Estate in Clondalkin.

Man Arrested Following Betting Shop Robbery
Gardaí at Mill Street in Galway are investigating an armed robbery in a Briarhill Betting Shop yesterday. A lone raider entered Briarhill Shopping Centre with a sawn off shotgun, demanded cash and left with an undisclosed amount of money. In a follow-up operation Gardaí arrested a 21-year-old man, recovered a firearm and cash nearby.

Fatal Shooting In Shopping Centre
A man has been shot and killed during a incident in a Limerick shopping centre on Thursday. Gardai in Roxboro Road Garda Station are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a man in his late 20's which occurred at a pub in the Roxboro Shopping Centre shortly after midday.

Douglas Shopping Centre To Be Closed For 'Weeks If Not Months'
The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection have issued social welfare advice for people who have been made unemployed as a result of the fire in Douglas Shopping Centre in Cork. A fire broke out at the shopping centre on the evening of Saturday 31 August.
