Man Charged In Connection With Pharmacy Robbery

A man, aged in his 40s, is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court charged in connection with the robbery of a pharmacy.

The man was seen by an off duty member of An Garda Siochana acting suspiciously in the vicinity of a Pharmacy at Castleknock Shopping centre on Wednesday, according to Gardaí.

He observed the man entering the pharmacy where he threatened staff and demanded money and assaulted a customer. The off duty Garda entered the pharmacy, identified himself as a member of An Garda Siochana, and the man was arrested, with assistance from two uniformed Gardai from Blanchardstown who had arrived at the scene.

The male was taken to Blanchardstown Garda station where he was detained under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. 

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

Appeal Issued For Man Missing Since 13 July
Gardaí have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Zilvinas Duda, who is missing from Dublin. The 31-year-old has been missing from the Ongar area of Dublin 15 since Saturday 13 July. It is understood that Mr Duda's car, a Grey Audi A3 Hatchback, was found on the Staleen Road in Donore in County Meath on the same day.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.

Girl Arrested As McAnaspie Case Continues
A juvenile has become the most recent arrest as part of the investigation into the murder of Daniel McAnaspie. The girl was arrested yesterday afternoon and is being detained in Blanchardstown Garda station under Sec 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.
