Witness Appeal Following Death Of 64-Year-Old Man
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following the death of a 64-year-old man in Dysart, Portlaosie.
The man died after being struck by a car at around 8.30pm on Monday on the N80 between Stradbally and Bloomfield.
The man was treated at the scene by emergency services and removed to Portlaoise General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was not injured.
Garda forensic collision investigators are currently at the scene.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Two Fatal Road Accidents
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to two fatal road accidents on Saturday. A 62-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in left the road on the M50 at about 12:45am between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght. The 60-year-old female driver is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.
