Man 'Critical' After Boat Capsizes In Limerick
A man is in a critical condition after he was rescued from the River Shannon in Co Limerick.
Three other people, who were also travelling in the boat, have been rescued.
It is believed the boat capsized at Castleconnell, and the men were left clinging to the side submerged in the water.
It is understood the men were stuck between debris and branches from a fallen tree.
Limerick Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and all four men are being treated at the University Hospital Limerick.
Gardai have launched an investigation.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.

Body Confirmed As Missing Galway Man
Gardaí have confirmed they have found the body of missing Galway man Adrian Folan. Mr Folan had been missing since last Thursday, when he was last seen in Athlone. Gardaí say that a body found in a disused quarry near the village of Liscannor in north Clare is that of Mr Folan, and that the death is being treated as suspicious.

Human Remains Confirmed As Missing Limerick Woman
Human remains found in Galway Bay on 29 November have been confirmed as those of missing Limerick woman, Maria Hennigar. The 35-year-old was reported missing on 22 November, although she had not been seen earlier that month.

Investigation Launched Following Bone Discovery In Co Clare
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a bone in Co Clare. A bone was found on Thursday, 22 September, on the Shannon riverbank at Doonass, Clonlara, on the Clare-Limerick border. Gardaí were called to the scene and are understood to have examined and photographed the scene before the bone was removed.

Searches Launched Across Limerick City
Up to 20 searches are being carried out across Limerick City this morning, 26 April, as part of an operation targeting criminal activity. Gardaí launched the operation in the early hours of Tuesday morning and the operation is ongoing. One man, aged in his 20s, has been arrested under the provisions of Section 4 – Criminal Justice Act 1984.
