Man Arrested Over Carlow Stabbing Death
A man has been arrested following the death of a 46-year-old man at a house in Carlow.
Garda were called to an address on Frederick Avenue at about 13:30 on Wednesday, to reports of a male being stabbed.
When garda arrived they found a 46-year-old man with serious injuries. He was treated, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 20s was arrested a short time later and he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Carlow Garda Station.
A forensic examination of the scene is ongoing.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Michael Devoy Released
A man arrested in connection with the murder of Michael Devoy has been released without charge. The body of the 41-year-old, from Ballymun in Dublin, was found at Foxhill on 18 January 2014. A man in his 20s was being questioned by officers at Tallaght Garda Station. He has since been released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
