Four Arrested By Operation Thor In Dundalk

Four men have been arrested in Dundalk, Co Louth, by officers from Operation Thor.

The men, aged between their late teens to mid 30s, were arrested shortly before 15:00 on Monday, 25 January by Gardaí from the Regional Support Unit, Northern Region.

They are being detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A caravan, which is believed to have been stolen in Newry, County Armagh, was recovered during the operation which was carried out with the assistance of and in cooperation with the Police Service of Northern Ireland. A jeep was also seized.

Three of the men were charged in connection with this investigation. One man, 21 years, is due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning (Tuesday).

Two of the men were released on bail and are due to appear before Dundalk District Court on a later date. The male in his late teens was released without charge.

Five Arrested In Operation Thor Arms Seizure
Four men and one woman have been arrested in connection with a firearms seizure in Baldoyle, Dublin. As part of Operation Thor, Gardaí carried out planned searches of premises and lands at Moyne Park, Baldoyle, Dublin 13, on Thursday 14th January.

Seven Arrested Over Money Laundering Investigation
Seven people have been arrested in a series of raids in Cork city on Thursday morning. Five women and two men, aged between 20 and 51, were detained by officers from the Divisional Fraud Investigation Unit, assisted by Divisional Drug Unit and CAB. Gardaí said that the arrested were made as part of an ongoing operation into money laundering.

NI Men Among Four Charged In Dublin
Four men have appeared at Dublin's Special Criminal Court this morning charged in relation to a terrorist incident on the N1 earlier this week when a primed mortar bomb was recovered. The men are Dalton Mc Kevitt, 35, from Dundalk and Niall Farrell, 34, also from Dundalk.
