Five Arrested In Operation Thor Arms Seizure

Four men and one woman have been arrested in connection with a firearms seizure in Baldoyle, Dublin.

As part of Operation Thor, Gardaí carried out planned searches of premises and lands at Moyne Park, Baldoyle, Dublin 13, on Thursday 14th January.

During the searches a large amount of cash was seized along with a firearm and a quantity of suspected stolen property.

Four men, aged between 20 to 40, and one woman, aged in her late 20's, were arrested during the operation.

One man was charged and appeared before the District Court 4, Criminal Courts of Justice on Thursday afternoon. He was remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on 21st January 2016 at 10.30am.

Two of the men and the woman were brought before the District Court on unrelated matters. The fourth man was released without charge.

Garda said their investigations are ongoing.

Garda began a search when a car stolen from a residence in Drimnagh on 08 July was spotted in the early hours of this morning in the Leixlip area. Garda traced the car and attempted to make a stop but the vehicle fled the scene.

Cannabis Worth €127k Seized In Meath
Gardaí in County Meath have seized cannabis worth over €127,000 from a house in Stamullen. Two Women Arrested Over Death Of Ian Quinn
Two women have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Dublin over two years ago. Ian Quinn, 32, was found dead at an apartment in the Annaly Grove area in Ongar on 31 May, 2014. The women, aged in their 30s, are to appear before Blanchardstown District Court today, 11 January.
