24 Arrested In Drugs Operation

A total of 24 people have been arrested in Waterford during a drugs bust.

Operation Raptor targeted the heroin and ecstasy trade.

Over 80 Gardai search twenty four properties in the city, Ballybeg and surrounding Suburban areas.

The 23 men and one woman are aged between 17 and 47 and are due before a special sitting of Waterford District Court tonight facing a total of 94 charges.

Three Arrested In Waterford In Operation Thor Operation
Three men have been arrested in Co Waterford as part of Operation Thor, an ongoing national anti-crime initiative. The men were arrested on Thursday evening when garda stopped a car in Tramore. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tramore and Waterford Garda Stations.

35 Arrests Made In Four-Day Operation Thor Investigation
Gardaí have made 35 arrests during a four-day operation aimed at preventing crime, disrupting criminal activity and enhancing community engagement in the Kilkenny-Carlow Division. As a result of Operation Thor – 'Project Storm' 10 people have been charged and will appear at local sittings of Carlow and Kilkenny District Court in the coming weeks.

Illegal Cigarettes And Tobacco Seized In Dublin
Almost 5,000 cigarettes and 9.5kg of rolling tobacco have been seized by Revenue officers in the Moore Street area of Dublin. Officers carried out the search assisted by garda, in an intelligence led operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of cigarettes and tobacco in the city.

Three Arrested In Animal Cruelty Investigation
Three people have been arrested as part of an investigation into animal cruelty and neglect at a farm in Co Carlow. Garda launched an investigation in April this year, removing 351 dogs and 11 horses from a farm during an 11 day joint operation involving An Garda Síochána, Carlow County Council and the ISPCA.

More Than 50 Horses Seized In Cork
Officials from the Department of Agriculture, supported by Cork City Council and Gardaí officers, have seized and impounded over 50 horses after animal welfare concerns were raised. It was part of an ongoing operation taking place in the Holyhill area of Cork surrounding problems with stray horses on public property and roads.
