Three Men Arrested In Connection With Post Office Raid Released Without Charge

Three men arrested in connection with an attempted robbery of a Dublin post office have been released without charge.

It is understood three masked suspects armed with knives, a crowbar and other implements entered the building on Leonard's Corner at around 12:30pm yesterday, 03 December.

After threatening customers and staff, they failed to open a safe and fled the scene.

The men, in their 20's, were arrested at a flat a short distance from the scene during a follow up operation. They were released later that night.

Investigations are ongoing.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Man Released Following Dublin Shooting
A man has been released without charge after being questioned in connection with the shooting of a boy in Dublin on Friday. The six-year-old was shot in the neck in Ballyfermot. A man was detained on suspicion of withholding information. A file is being prepared for the DPP.

Three Arrested Over Cork Murder Released
Three men who were arrested as part of a Gardaí investigation into the murder of Mikolaj Wilk in Cork have been released. The trio were detained on the morning of Tuesday 22 January in Ballincollig following a number of searches in the area, but have since been released without charge.

Woman Released In Longford Murder Investigation
The woman being held by Gardaí in connection with the death of Sharon Coughlan, has been released without charge. Gardaí in Co Longford arrested three people yesterday. Two men, aged 19 and 28, were still in custody this morning. It is understood their period of detention has been extended.

Three Freed After Limerick Shooting
Three people arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Limerick city earlier this week have been released without charge. Gary Grant, 25, was shot outside his home in St Ita's Street in the St Mary's Park area around 10:15pm on Monday night. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, but died on arrival.
