Search Operation Resumes For Man Feared To Have Fallen Into The Sea

A search and rescue operation has resumed for a 19-year-old man, feared to have fallen into the sea in Co Clare.

The operation was launched on Monday when a report was received that the man was missing at about 11am.

It is understood he has not been seen since Sunday night.

Kilkee and Doolin Coast Guard units are being assisted by a rescue helicopter for a search in the Spanish Pont area.

According to reports naval divers will join the search today.

A search operation for a suspect lost baby in Co Donegal has been called off. The operation was launched after a woman's body was recovered from the sea close to Malin and a member of the public said they had seen the woman earlier that day with a baby.

Search Resumes For Missing Fisherman
A search is to resume this morning for a fisherman who was swept into the sea in Co Clare last night (Sunday). According to reports, the man had been fishing with friends off the rocks at Ballyreen, near Fanore, in the county around 5.30pm. He was angling from the rocks when he was hit by a wave.
