Man To Appear In Court Over Aggravated Burglary In Longford

A 34-year-old man is to appear in court in Longford on Monday, 12 October, charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Edgeworthstown on Saturday.

Three men entered a property and threatened the occupants. The trio fled the scene, however one man was arrested by gardaí following the incident.

A 41-year-old man was detained during a follow-up operation. He remains in custody under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Missing Cork Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 52-year-old man from Cork has been found 'safe and well', garda have reported. John Ryan was last seen in the Shanakiel area of Cork City on Wednesday, 24 May. However, Mr Ryan has now been located and no further action is required.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man To Appear In Court Over Co Meath Burglary
A 38-year-old man is due to appear at Navan District Court charged in connection with a burglary in Ashbourne, Co Meath. It is understood that a homeowner returning to her house saw an unknown male inside her property at around 4:30pm on Saturday, 22 January. She immediately left the area and contacted Garda.

Garda Raids Launch Across Dublin
Gardaí investigating a series of burglaries across Dublin have arrested a man and woman this morning. The arrests were made during a series of searches launched on Friday morning at 7am.
