Garda Raids Launch Across Dublin

Gardaí investigating a series of burglaries across Dublin have arrested a man and woman this morning.

The arrests were made during a series of searches launched on Friday morning at 7am.

Officers from the Divisional Burglary Response Unit, District Detective Units and District Drugs Unit searched a number of locations in Dun Laoghaire, Booterstown and Blackrock.

The man is currently being detained under Section 4 in Blackrock Garda Station.

The woman is expected to appear Dublin District Court later today.

Investigations are ongoing.

David Curran, 18, from Lissadel Green in Drimnagh, Dublin 12, was named after he recently turned 18 and is no longer protected as a juvenile. He stands trial for two counts of murder of Pawel Kalite and Marius Szwajkos.

Appeal For Witnesses To Early Morning Shooting In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.

Garda Investigate 'Gang Of Men' On Shop Roof
Gardaí are investigating reports that a "gang of males" were spotted on the roof of a shop in Lusk, Dublin. Garda said they received a number of reports on Wednesday night of men on top of the Village Store. Officers arriving at the scene witnessed men climbing down from the building and fleeing in different directions.
