Female Cyclist Injured In Road Collision Dies

A female cyclist seriously injured in a road crash in Tralee has died.

Gayle McConkey from Castlewood Park was involved in a collision with a car on Thursday evening.

She was taken to Kerry General Hospital where she remained in a critical condition, however she died from her injuries over the weekend.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Young Female Dies After Road Collision
A 14-year-old girl has died in a tragic car collision in Dublin last night. The young female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Blanchardstown and was seriously injured. She was removed to the Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Two Dead In Separate Collisions
Two people have died on Ireland's roads after traffic collisions in Dublin and Kilkenny in the last two days. In the latest incident, a male aged 19 was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a stationary vehicle. His body was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following a fatal road traffic accident in County Waterford on Wednesday, 09 September. A man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorcycle hit a wall on the R448, near Waterford City, at about 17:15. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford where he was pronounced dead.
