Gardaí Appeal After Gun Fired In Dublin 2

Gardaí have appealed for information following reports of gunfire in Dublin 2 on Monday, 17 August.

At approximately 13:00, Gardaí were called to a disturbance involving a number of youths at Boyne Street, Dublin 2.

It is understood that a number of gun shots were fired during the incident, however, there were no reported injuries and no arrests were made at the time of the incident.

During a follow up operation, a female, aged in her 20s, was arrested as part of the investigation. She was detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Pearse Street Garda Station and later released without charge.

Gardaí investigating the incident have already received assistance from a number of witnesses. They are now making a special appeal to a taxi driver who took a female passenger from the Pearse Street area at approximately 13:00 and brought her to St. Vincent's Hospital, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, arriving shortly after 13:30. The taxi is described as a silver coloured Kia car.

Dublin Shooting Investigated

Man Arrested After Cannabis Plants Seized In Co Limerick
A man has been arrested after cannabis plants were seized by gardaí in Limerick. The plants are believed to be worth an estimated street value of €115,000. Gardaí carried out the planned search at a house in Bruff on Monday. The man, in his 20s, is being detained at Bruff Garda Station.

Garda Renew Appeal For Witnesses To Dame Lane Assault
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a man was assaulted on Dame Lane on Saturday 25 June. The victim, aged in his 30s, was found unconscious suffering serious head injuries on Dame Lane at approximately 11.30pm.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 31-year-old Dublin man missing since 08 September has been found "safe and well", gardaí have reported. Stephen Sherlock was reported missing from the Pearse Street area of Dublin on Tuesday, 08 September. Garda were concerned for his welfare. Ten days after the appeal, garda said Mr Sherlock has been found.
