Investigation Launched Into Ballyfermot Shooting
Gardaí have launched an investigation into a shooting incident on Cherry Orchard Parade, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10.
A man aged in his 20s was found with a number of gunshot wounds at about 18:20 on Saturday, 15 August.
He was found on a green area close to the rail line at Cherry Orchard.
He is being treated at St James Hospital were his condition is described as serious.
Gardai in Ballyfermot are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information to contact them in Ballyfermot on 01 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

Two Men Remanded Over Dublin Shooting
Two men have been remanded in custody after appearing at Kilmainham District Court on Monday charged in connection with a shooting at a house in west Dublin on Saturday morning. Several shots were fired through the window of a house in Cherry Orchard Parade in Ballyfermot around 4am on Saturday.

Man's Body Discovered In West Dublin
The body of a man has been discovered at Cherry Orchard in west Dublin. The body was found in Ballyfermot at around 6.30am. The scene has been preserved for forensic examination. Local Sinn Féin Councillor Daithí Doolan said: "It is very sad news that another body has been found in Cherry Orchard.

A further arrest has been made in connection to the murder of a man in Ballyfermot in November of last year. Gardai in the area, who investigating the murder of David Darcy on Cherry Orchard Avenue on the November 28, said on Thursday they have made a further arrest in relation to the murder.

According to Gardaí, a gang of men attacked the victim, who is from the Ballyfermot area, on the grounds behind the Cherry Orchard Hospital around 10.00pm. The attackers shot the man in the lower body, before making their getaway in two cars.
