Man Released Over Serious Attack In Tralee
A man has been released without charge following a serious attack on another man in Tralee on Wednesday night.
The attack occurred in the Kileen Woods area at around 10.35pm.
The victim, aged in his 20s, remains in a critical condition in Kerry General Hospital.
A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
The other male who was arrested remains in custody under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Killarney Garda Station.

Man Injured In Gun Attack
A man, 21, has been shot in Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The attack happened at Slieve Bloom Park in Driminagh at around 5.10am. The man is being treated for injuries to his leg at St James' Hospital. Gardai are appealing to witnesses to contact them.

A man has been injured in a serious attack in Dublin. It happened in Kearn's Place at around 2am this morning. The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was slashed across the face. He is currently at St James's Hospital, where his injuries are being described as "superficial".

Second Man Charged With Murder Of Irene White
A second man has been charged in connection with the 2005 murder of Irene White. Ms White was found dead at her home in Dundalk, Co Louth, on 06 April, 2005. She had been stabbed to death in a violent attack shortly after returning home from leaving her children to school.

A 22-year-old man remains in a critical condition after he was assaulted in Williamstown in Waterford city at the weekend. Another man, 22, remains in Garda custody over the attack.
