Sixty Arrests Made In Drug Raids
Sixty people have been charged with more than 200 drug offences in the past 48 hours, following a series of raids carried out in Dublin, Cork and Wexford.
It is understood that 26 arrests were made in Dublin's south inner city, 25 people were arrested in Cork and nine were arrested in Wexford.
Garda added that the arrests follow a six-month covert operation into the supply of heroin, cocaine and other drugs.

A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and “crack” cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Two Held Following Drug Seizure
Two men are being held following the discovery of cannabis and amphetamines worth an estimated €140,000. Some €20,000 worth of cannabis and €120,000 of amphetamines were uncovered when a car was stopped and searched in Waterford. Gardaí say the search was part of an ongoing operation.
