Investigation Launched After Teen Shot In Limerick
Gardaí have launched an investigation after a teenager was shot in Limerick on Thursday morning.
The 17-year-old was shot in the thigh on the Upper Carey's Road at around 10.40am, according to gardaí.
He was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No arrests have been made.
Garda at Roxboro are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Gardaí investigating the murder of a man outside a motorcycle club in Limerick, have been granted more time to question three men. A special sitting of Limerick District Court granted garda more time to question a 27-year-old man and two me aged in their 40s, arrested on Saturday in connection with the murder.

Gardai are calling for witnesses following the murder of a Dublin man in Co Kildare on Saturday. Jamie Lindsey, 20, was fatally shot near his home in Coneybro estate in Athy. It is believed the victim was the target of a local drugs gang. Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Pair Found Shot Dead In Carlow Identified
Garda have identified, but will not yet name, a man and woman found shot dead in a B&B in Carlow town yesterday. The names are being withheld until after a post mortem examination is carried out. It is understood the man was 54-year-old and from Co. Offaly, and the woman, 51, was a mother of six, including triplets.
