Bus Strike Talks Resume At LRC

The latest round of talks between Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann and trade union representatives have resumed at the labour Relations Commission.

Talks are continuing in an effort to avoid upcoming strike action planned by workers at both bus companies in a dispute over a plan to privatise 10% of the companies bus routes.

Strike action is planned for Friday and Saturday of this week, and a further three day at the end of the month.

Talks held at the beginning of May failed to avert bank holiday strike action.

According to reports talks on Monday ended with "nothing new on the table", SIPTU's Owen Reidy said.
