Garda Renew Appeal For Missing Co Meath Couple

Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information on the whereabouts of couple missing from Co Meath.

34-year-old William Maughan and his partner, 20-year-old Anastasija Varslavane, have not been seen since Tuesday 14 April.

Mr Maughan is described as 5'8”, of athletic build, with shaved head and green eyes. It is not known what he was wearing when last seen.

Ms Varslavane is 5’6” in height, of slim build, with long dark hair. She is from Latvia, but has been living in Ireland for a number of years.

They were last seen between 14:00-15:00 in the Gormanston area of Co Meath. William is known to frequent Balbriggan, Stamullen and Gormanston areas.

Appeals Issued For Missing Men In Galway And Cavan
Gardaí in Galway have appealed for help in tracing 19-year-old Finian Varden Kenny, who has been missing since the weekend. Mr Kenny was last seen in the area of Turloughmore, Athenry, Co Galway on Sunday, 10 July 2016. The teenager is described as being 5'9" with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Bodies Discovered In County Meath
The bodies of two men have been discovered on an island in County Meath by gardaí investigating the disappearance of 32-year-old Eoin O'Connor and 33-year-old Anthony Keegan. The two bodies were located on an island on Lough Sheelin at about 16:30 on Monday 26 May. The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Man Injured in Co Meath Shooting
A man has been injured in a shooting in County Meath. The attack happened at a house in Dowth, at approximately 9.45pm on Sunday. The victim was shot a number of times in the upper body and his leg. He is currently being treated at Our Lady of Lordes Hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
