Two Arrested Over Armed Robbery Of Supermarket

Two people have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a supermarket in Co Meath.

A masked man, armed with what is believed to have been a handgun, entered the shop in Enfield at about 21:40 on Thursday. The man threatened staff and demanded money from the tills.

Approximately two hours later Gardaí in Finglas stopped a silver Ford Focus on the N2 Finglas Road, recovering a quantity of cash.

A man and a woman were arrested and have been detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Trim and Kells Garda Stations.

Missing Co Mayo Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following an armed robbery of a service station on the Dublin Road, Arklow, on Tuesday. A lone masked man, entered the premises armed with what is believed to be a knife; he threatened staff and demanded cash.
