Arrest Made Over Limerick Body Find

An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a body in Limerick.

Gardaí responding to a call about an incident at a house on Barrack Hill, discovered the body of a man shortly after 05:30 on Wednesday morning.

It is understood a man in his 50s was arrested at the scene, and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Garda said the body remains at the scene, pending a forensic examination due to be carried out this morning.

Man Dies In Road Crash In Co Sligo
A man has been killed in a road accident in County Sligo. The victims' 4x4 vehicle veered off the road at Corballa and hit an embankment in the early hours of this morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Sligo General Hospital. Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
