Man's Body Discovered In Dublin

An investigation has been launched after the discovery of the body of a male believed to be in his 30’s at an apartment in Grove Street, Mullingar this morning.

Gardai at Mullingar say the scene has been sealed off. The Garda Technical Bureau are at scene and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified. A post mortem is likely to take place later this afternoon.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the Grove Street area between 6pm on Sunday the 14.02.10 and this morning before 9am and who may have observed anything unusual or anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044 9384000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

'Plan Ahead' For St Patrick's Day Events This Weekend

Woman's Body Found In County Laoise
Gardai are continuing with their investigations after the discovery of a woman's body in County Laoise. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found at a flat in Mountrath. The alarm was raised shortly after 8pm on Friday. A man in his 30s has been arrested in relation to the incident and is detained at Portlaoise Garda Station.

53-Year-Old Arrested Over Mullingar Murder
A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Brigid Maguire in Mullingar. The body of Ms Maguire was discovered by her teenage daughter at about 21:30 on Saturday, 14 November. The suspect is currently being detained under the provision of Section 4 of the The Criminal Justice Act at Mullingar Garda Station.

Man Arrested In Connection With Deaths Of Elderly Brothers
A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two elderly brothers at their home in Castlebar on Wednesday. A home-help for the brothers alerted gardai at around 07:00 after she arrived at their home and found their bodies.

Separate Road Collisions Fatal
Two men, one of whom was an elderly pensioner, have been killed on Ireland's roads this weekend in two separate incidents. In the latest collision, a 26-year-old male was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall. He was taken by Ambulance to Mullingar Hospital where he later passed away.
