Body Found In Burning Car In North Cork

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a burning car in north Cork.

The body was uncovered inside the car, which was on fire in an isolated woodland area between Fermoy and Ballyhooly.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the man's death but have said the case is currently not being treated as suspicious.

A post-mortem is due to carried out at Cork University Hospital.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Manhunt After Two Stabbed In Cork
Gardaí have launched a manhunt after two people were stabbed at Cork University Hospital. According to reports, it is thought the two men got into a fight with a third man on the ground of the hospital earlier today (23 October). The victims are receiving treatment at the scene, but their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí Recover Car Believed To Have Been Used In Hit-And-Run
A car has been recovered by gardaí investigating a hit-and-run in Cork. A can failed to stop after hitting a 12-year-old boy as he crossed Thomas Davis Street in Blackpool on Wednesday night. The boy remains in Cork University Hospital, where he is said to be in a "comfortable condition".
