Gardaí Recover Car Believed To Have Been Used In Hit-And-Run
A car has been recovered by gardaí investigating a hit-and-run in Cork.
A can failed to stop after hitting a 12-year-old boy as he crossed Thomas Davis Street in Blackpool on Wednesday night.
The boy remains in Cork University Hospital, where he is said to be in a "comfortable condition".
Gardaí investigating the incident have recovered the car that they believe was involved. A silver BMW, carrying Northern Irish number plates, was found in the Shandon area on Thursday afternoon.
The car is being forensically examined in an effort to identify the driver.
Investigating gardaí at Mayfield Garda Station have appealed to the driver to contact them at 021-4558510.

Eight Arrested In Dundalk Murder Inquiry
Gardaí investigating the murder of Aidan Myers in Dundalk last year have arrested eight people. Six men and two women were arrested this morning. It is understood that four men, aged 19 and 26, are being questioned in relation to Mr Myers' murder, while two men and two women are being questioned on suspicion of withholding information.

Body Found In Burning Car In North Cork
Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a burning car in north Cork. The body was uncovered inside the car, which was on fire in an isolated woodland area between Fermoy and Ballyhooly. Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the man's death but have said the case is currently not being treated as suspicious.
