Garda Renew Appeal Over Det Garda Donohoe Murder
Gardaí are to make a fresh appeal for information about the death of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe, who was shot and killed outside Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co Louth on 25 January last year.
Donohoe and a colleague were attacked by an armed gang as they waited outside the credit union to escort staff and takings to a bank.
As staff left the building the gang attacked, shooting Det Garda Donohoe in the head as he tried to intervene.
A renewed appeal for further information from the public and an update on the investigation will take place outside Dundalk Garda Station.

The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Paschal Donohoe, has officially launched Bus Éireann's new €50 million 'fleet of the future'. Funding for 116 new vehicles was provided by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport via the National Transport Authority (NTA).

Aer Lingus is considering a new takeover offer from International Airlines Group (IAG). The improved offer was revealed in a statement made by the airline to the Stock Exchange this morning, which stated it had received a new offer of €2.55 per share and it was being considered by the board. The offer values the company at about €1.3 billion.
