Garda Renew Appeal Over Det Garda Donohoe Murder

Gardaí are to make a fresh appeal for information about the death of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe, who was shot and killed outside Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co Louth on 25 January last year.

Donohoe and a colleague were attacked by an armed gang as they waited outside the credit union to escort staff and takings to a bank.

As staff left the building the gang attacked, shooting Det Garda Donohoe in the head as he tried to intervene.

A renewed appeal for further information from the public and an update on the investigation will take place outside Dundalk Garda Station.

Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find
A man has been detained in connection with the discovery of a body in Co Clare. The body of the 27-year-old was found outside a house in Kilrush this morning. The victim was found shot dead in the garden of a house on O'Gorman Street at around 10.30am.

Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Adrian Donohoe
A man has been arrested in connection with the 2013 murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe. Mr Donohoe, a father-of-two, was shot dead outside Lordship Credit Union in Dundalk, Co Louth on 25th January, 2013. Garda detained a man outside Wheatfield Prison.

Renewed Appeal On 3rd Anniversary Of Adrian Donohoe Murder
The Garda Commissioner, Nóirín O'Sullivan, has marked the 3rd anniversary of the 'brutal and senseless' murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe. A statement released by Commissioner O'Sullivan said: "It is three years now since Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe was brutally and senselessly murdered in the line of duty.
