Investigation Launches Into Capsized Trawler
An investigation has been launched into the capsizing of a 30ft trawler in freezing waters off Rosslare on Wednesday 11 February.
Three fishermen were rescued from the water less than a mile off Rosslare after the Quo Vadis 'rolled over and capsized'. It is still unknown what caused the trawler to sink.
Divers raised the vessel using airbags last Friday and it has now been removed for examination.
The Marine Accident Investigation branch has opened an inquiry into what caused the vessel to capsize.

Three fishermen have been rescued after their trawler caught fire 30 miles off the coast of County Wicklow yesterday afternoon, Thursday 02 May. Lifeboat crews from Arkow and Wicklow RNLI responded to the emergency shortly before 4pm, evacuating the men from the 14-metre vessel.

Trawler Arrested Off Cork Coast For Fishing Violations
A trawler has been detained 30 miles off the coast of Cork over alleged breaches of EU fishing regulations. The vessel - which is Irish-registered - was stopped by the Naval Service patrol ship, LE Ciara, off Ballycotton and inspected at 11.30pm on Tuesday evening. The trawler was then detained and escorted to Cobh, Co Cork by the LE Ciara.

'Sinking' Trawler Saved
A rescue helicopter from Dublin was tasked earlier today as part of a major air and sea rescue operation off the Co Down coast. The alert began earlier today in the Irish Sea after a distress call was received from a sinking fishing trawler. The alarm was raised off the coast near the fishing port of Kilkeel.

Three Saved From Sinking Trawler
Three men have been rescued from a sinking trawler off the coast of Co Donegal. It happened around 6.30am on Tuesday morning. The vessel, the Shaun Shaun, a 50ft steel-hulled boat, was fishing for herring off Killybegs when it began to take on water.

Blaze Hit Trawler Probed
Marine investigators are today examining a fishing trawler that caught fire off the Donegal coast. A tugboat accompanied the vessel to shore at Killybegs on Sunday afternoon after Irish naval firefighters helped to extinguish the blaze on board the trawler on Saturday night.
