Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Co Monaghan Crash
Gardaí in Co Monaghan have reported the death of a man in a road accident on Thursday.
Officers say that the man's car was involved in a collision with a tractor at Cooltrimegish at about 17:45 on the Ballybay to Carrickmacross Road.
The driver, understood to be aged in his 70s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the tractor was not injured in the collision.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact gardaí in Carrickmacross on 042 9690190, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.

Four Men Dead In Separate Collisions
A total of four men have died in a spate of separate car collisions over the weekend. In the most recent incident, a motorcyclist collided with a pick-up truck towing a trailer, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s. The collision which occurred at Cloghnadromin, Ballysimon, CoLimerick at approx 1.30pm on Sunday.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to an incident in which a cyclist was hit by a bus in south Dublin. According to gardaí, a 55-year-old woman was hit by a bus while cycling at about 21:40 on Burlington Road on Monday night. She is currently being treated at St Vincent's Hospital, where her condition is described as serious.

Man Dies In Blarney Road Crash
A man has been killed in a two vehicle road crash that occurred between Parkanna Cross Rd and Davis Cross on the Blarney to Bweeng Road at approximately 11.30am on Tuesday. The man in his 20's was fatally injured when his car collided with a lorry. He was the sole occupant of the car and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
