Fewer Sign On To Live Register In November
Latest figures by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), have revealed that there were 4,100 fewer people signing onto the live register last month, on a seasonally adjusted basis.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment total fell to 367,100.
In unadjusted terms, 352,647 people signed on – an annual decrease of 38,860, to 352,647.
For November 2014, the standardised unemployment rate was 10.7%, lower than the revised figure of 10.9% the previous month.
Elsewhere, the statistics, which are from the most recent Quarterly National Household Survey (QNHS), found that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 11.1% for the third quarter of 2014.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, there was a monthly fall of 2,500 males (-1.1%) on the Live Register in November, while females fell by 1,600 (-1.1%) over the same period.
The number of male claimants decreased by 28,821 (-11.8%) to 214,726 in the year to November 2014, while female claimants decreased by 10,048 (-6.8%) to 137,921.
This compares to a fall of 22,832 (-8.6%) to 243,538 for males, and female claimants showed a decrease of 2,938 (-1.9%) to 147,969 in the year to November 2013.

Ireland's unemployment rate remained unchanged in the month to June 2019, but is almost 6% lower than in June 2018. According to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the seasonally adjusted number of persons unemployed was 109,700 in June 2019 compared to 109,400 in May 2019.

Live Register Falls In September
This month's Live Register has reported a monthly decrease of 5,400 for September. The seasonally adjusted official figures revealed today that the number of people on the Live Register now stands at 442,417, an annual increase of 22,563, or 5.4%. The Central Statistics Office findings compare to the increase of 30,198, or 6.
