Teenage Cyclist Dies From Injuries Following Collision

A teenager has died in hospital from injuries he sustained in a collision on Sunday, 21 August.

The 13-year-old cyclist collided with a car on the main Drogheda to Slane Road at about 8.30pm on Sunday evening.

He was being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda however he died from his injuries on Tuesday night, 23 August.

Gardaí investigating the collision have renewed their appeal for witnesses to contact them.

Man Dead After Co Clare Crash
A man has died following a crash in County Clare this morning. The 23-year-old was taken to Ennis General Hospital after the one-vehicle crash in Lahinch at 1.30am. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Two women and one man, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. They were passengers in the car.

Man Killed In Fatal Car Crash In Co Monaghan
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was killed in a car crash in Co Monaghan. The two-vehicle collision happened at 6:30pm on the N54 Monaghan to Clones Road in Aghalisk yesterday, 05 January. The 68-year-old victim was fatally injured in the crash and declared dead at the scene.

Man Held Over Hotel Body Find
Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in a hotel room over the weekend. Cleaning staff at the Plaza Hotel in Tallaght found the body of 30-year-old Sonia Blount in a room on Sunday afternoon. According to reports, Ms Blount had suffered injuries consistent with a violent death.

Four Killed On Irish Roads This Weekend
A number of separate road crashes this weekend have claimed four lives, including a father and son. John Gallagher, 55, and his 24-year-old son Sean died when their car collided with another vehicle at Burt on Saturday morning. The collision occurred at the junction of Slab Road, Burt, on the Main Letterkenny to Derry Road at approximately 10.
