Female Cyclist Dies In Co Kerry Collision

A female cyclist has died following a crash in Co Kerry.

The incident happened on the Dingle to Tralee Road at around 10.40am on Sunday, 21 August.

The bicycle she was riding left the road and hit a ditch.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed to University Hospital Tralee.

The road has since been reopened.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the R551 at Ballyheigue, Co Kerry on Sunday, 15 May. A man, aged in his 30s, suffered fatal injuries when his motorcycle struck the footpath and a roadside pillar. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Girl Dies In Collision In Co Kerry
A 14-year-old girl has died in a collision near Scartaglen in County Kerry. The car she was travelling in crashed into a ditch at around 11.25pm on Sunday. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 20, and an 18-month-old baby were taken to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Two Tourists Have Died In Kerry Pony And Trap Accident
Two American tourists have died in an incident involving a pony and trap near popular tourist attraction Gap of Dunloe in Kerry. The couple, who were in their 60s, were travelling on a narrow mountain path, when their carriage went off the road. They were pronounced dead at the scene and brought to University Hospital Kerry.
