Men Arrested And Weapons Seized In Dissident Operation
Gardaí have seized a number of weapons as part of an ongoing operation targeting dissident republicans.
Officers from the Garda Crime and Security Unit and the Special Detective Unit raided premises in the Ballymun, East Wall and Cloghran areas of Dublin, in what they said was an "intelligence-led investigation".
A number of semi automatic pistols, a sawn-off shotgun and an AK-47 assault rifle were discovered.
Two men, aged in their 50s, were also detained during one of the searches.

Men Arrested In Dissident Republican Investigation
Two men have been arrested in an ongoing operation into dissident republican activity in Dublin. The men, aged 25 and 30, were arrested on Tuesday by Garda from the Special Detective Unit. The 25-year-old man was released on Wednesday and a file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Further Dissident Weapons Found In Dublin
An ongoing Gardai operation has led to the recovery of further weapons and ammunition in the Tallaght area of Dublin last night. Gardai investigations led them to a stash of two shotguns, a pipe bomb, and a quantity of ammunition, which were found on open ground in Kiltipper by members of the special detective unit.

Four 'Tied-Up' In Major Operation
A major operation has been put in place to tackle organsied crime with four men detained this morning. It is part of a joint Gardái/Customs Operation - codenamed Operation Tie - and being coordinated by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB), National Support Services and the Dublin Metropolitan Regional Traffic Department.

Two Men Charged Over Dissident Republican Activity
Two men have appeared before a special sitting of the Special Criminal Court charged in connection with dissident republican activity. The men were arrested on Sunday, 14 August, shortly after 11pm in the Leitrim area by local members of An Garda Síochána as part of an operation targeting dissident republican activity in the Sligo/Leitrim area.

Three men have been arrested in Co Waterford as part of Operation Thor, an ongoing national anti-crime initiative. The men were arrested on Thursday evening when garda stopped a car in Tramore. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tramore and Waterford Garda Stations.
