Men Arrested In Dissident Republican Investigation

Two men have been arrested in an ongoing operation into dissident republican activity in Dublin.

The men, aged 25 and 30, were arrested on Tuesday by Garda from the Special Detective Unit.

The 25-year-old man was released on Wednesday and a file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The 30-year-old man is due to appear before the Special Criminal Court.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Three Men Arrested In Connection With Post Office Raid Released Without Charge
Three men arrested in connection with an attempted robbery of a Dublin post office have been released without charge. It is understood three masked suspects armed with knives, a crowbar and other implements entered the building on Leonard's Corner at around 12:30pm yesterday, 03 December.
