RTÉ Confirm 'Menacing' Phone Calls Inquiry

An investigation is underway into "menacing" phone calls made to a "high profile businesswoman" from RTÉ's Montrose campus in Dublin.

The broadcaster has confirmed that it is co-operating with a garda investigation into "creepy and menacing" phone calls.

News of the investigation was first reported by the Irish Independent.

It is understood the investigation is focusing on an individual who was not a member of staff but someone employed on a casual basis.

An internal RTÉ inquiry is also underway.
