Dublin Street Closed In Chemical Incident

Granby Row in Dublin has been re-opened following a chemical incident at a Salvation Army Centre.

According to reports chemicals were mixed and gave off fumes at the centre in Dublin's city centre. No one was injured in the incident.

Three fire engines and a decontamination unit attended the scene, which has now been dealt with.

Man Stable After Being Struck By Luas
A man struck by a Luas tram in south Dublin on Tuesday night is in a stable condition in hospital. The incident happened at Cheeverstown at about 20:15 on Tuesday, Dublin Fire Service have said. It is understood that an 18-year-old man was on the tracks between the Citywest and Cheeverstown stops when he was hit.

'Hazardous Substance' Incident In County Clare Ongoing
Emergency services are currently dealing with a suspected chemical incident at a leisure centre in County Clare. The alarm was raised at around 6.30am this morning, 18 February, when an automatic fire alarm went off at the River Lodge Health and Fitness Centre on the Gort Road in Ennis.

New plans to support the most vulnerable in Belfast while growing the economy, regenerating neighbourhoods and achieving climate targets have been published in a refreshed strategic plan for the city. First published in 2017, the Belfast Agenda set out joint vision for the city up to 2035.

Halloween Fire Safety Campaign Launched
Dublin Fire Brigade's Halloween Safety Campaign, 'Be Safe Been Seen' has been launched at Dublin Fire HQ by tArdmhéara Críona Ní Dhálaigh. The Fire Brigade will work with Dublin Bus, An Garda Siochana and the DSPCA in an effort to inform young people about the dangers of illegal bonfires and fireworks.
