Woman Dies After Car And Tram Collide

A woman has died after a tram and car collided in Dublin city centre.

The victim, understood to be a pedestrian, was said to have been struck by the car after it collided with a Luas. The incident happened at the junction of Jervis Street and Abbey Street Upper at around 8.45am on Monday.

The woman, in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road and a section of the Luas line, between Smithfield and Connolly, had been closed as part of the investigation. It is understood to have since reopened.

Man Dies After Car And Bus Collide In Roscommon
A man in his 50s has died following a fatal car crash in Co Roscommon. The incident occurred on the R446 at Ballydangan at around 10am on Thursday, 02 November. The victim was killed when the car he was driving collided with a bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to Roscommon Hospital.

Man Dies In Waterford Collision
A man in his 20s has died following a road traffic collision in County Waterford on Monday evening, 08 April. The single vehicle crash occurred near O'Keefe's Cross, Dunhill at around 6pm and saw the car collide with a wall. The deceased is understood to have been the sole occupant of the vehicle.
