Man Arrested In Connection With Limerick Shooting
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested a man in connection with a double shooting on Wednesday afternoon.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, are being treated in hospital after being shot yesterday.
Gardaí say that a gunman approached to pair at about 15:15 on Castleview estate in Newcastle West and opened fire, before fleeing the scene in a waiting car.
The pairs injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A 25-year-old man was arrested early this morning in connection with the shooting. He is being questioned at Newcastle West Garda Station.

Man Arrested In Connection With Greystones Shooting
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Greystones on Saturday, 12 December. Shots were fired during an incident involving a number of males at Farrankelly Road, Greystones at approximately 11.10am. Two shots struck the car of a passing motorist during the incident.

Gardai investigating the incident at the Sallynoggin arrested a man in his 30s on Wednesday evening. He is currently being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.

A man has been arrested in Dublin this morning in connection with the shooting of the 47-year-old David Thomas last year. Gardai in Finglas investigating the fatal shooting said this morning they had arrested a male aged in 20s at Main Street, Finglas. He is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under the Criminal Justice Act.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested over the fatal shooting of a man in the Fingals area of Dublin in late 2007. Gardai investigating the shooting of 36-year-old Derek Duffy at Casement Park, Finglas made the arrest last night in Dublin City Centre. Derek Duffy was gunned down at approximately 4am on the 23rd September 2007.
