Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Crash on N2 Finglas

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the N2 Finglas on Saturday 16 April.

A male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was hit by a car on the N2 dual carriageway at about 3am.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

The driver of the car, a man aged 50, was not injured in the collision.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 02:30 and 03:00 on Saturday 16 April to contact Finglas Garda Station on 01 6667500, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin last week. The body of Kevin Molloy was found at his home in Glendhu Road in Cabra, Dublin, on Sunday 01 February. Investigating garda said they believed Mr Molloy's body had laid undiscovered for some time.

Woman Dies After Being Hit By Car In Dublin
An elderly woman who was hit by a car in Dublin has died in hospital. The incident occurred on the Navan Road at around 8.15am on Sunday, 04 September. The driver of the car was arrested and taken to Finglas Garda Station. He has been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Man Arrested In Connection With Dublin Shooting Incident
Gardaí investigating a shooting incident outside a west Dublin school have made an arrest. A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested during the course of the search operation in Corduff. He has been detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, where he can be held for up to 72 hours.
