Elderly Man Dies In Galway House Fire

Gardaí in Co Galway have reported the death of a 73-year-old man in a house fire.

Clifden fire service was called to the scene of a house fire at around 23:30 on Monday night.

The man's body was discovered in the house, where he lived alone.

The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination, due to be carried out this morning.

A man arrested in connection with a fatal house fire in Dublin has been released without charge. A 44-year-old man died in the blaze which happened at a property on Oakland's Terrace, Rathgar, at around 3am on Tuesday, 21 August. It is understood the man had escaped from the fire before returning inside and suffered critical injuries.

Fire That Killed 68-Year-Old 'Not Suspicious'
A 68-year-old man has died in a house fire in Co Louth. The man, who lived alone, was found in the sitting room of the house on Hand Street, Drogheda, Co Louth. It is understood that the fire is thought to have started in the kitchen of the house.

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of woman's body at a house in Louth. Gardaí uncovered the body in a house at Rathmore, Hackballscross, Louth at approximately 3.45pm this afternoon on Monday. The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda Technical Examination and the body remains at the scene.

Man Dies In House Fire In Donegal
A man has died following a house fire in Dungloe, Donegal. The fire was reported at around 2.30am on Friday, 11 December. The victim, who was in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the house. The scene is currently being preserved for a technical examination, but his death is not being treated as suspicious.
