Appeal After Woman Goes Missing In Dún Laoghaire

Gardai in Dún Laoghaire are appealing for information after a woman has been missing since last Friday.

Emma Brazil, 31, is described as 5ft 4 in with brown hair, blue/green eyes and of a slim build.

She was last seen around Harcourt Street in the early hours of last Friday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dún Laoghaire Garda Station 01 6665000 or the Garda Confidential Line.

The Public Health Agency (PHA) has announced that it has been made aware of a third confirmed case of measles in the Republic of Ireland. It is understood that the case was confirmed in a resident of Ireland who had arrived back in the country from Abu Dhabi on Saturday 9 March 2024.

Remand On Dublin Woman's Death
A 61-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the unlawful killing of his wife in Ballybrack in Dublin last November. Thomas Breen, of Willowvale in Ballybrack, was charged before Dún Laoghaire District Court. 57-year-old Carmel Breen's body was found at her home in Ballybrack on 7 November.

Appeal For Information On Crossmaglen Weapons Seizure
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information on a cache of weapons recovered in a search operation in Crossmaglen in October, 2023. The proactive search operation took place in the Monog Road area on 30 and 31 October 2023.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Council Hears Public Baths Redevelopment Plan
Details of a proposed redevelopment of Dún Laoghaire’s public baths have been revealed in a presentation to the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Constructed in 1843, the baths were completely redeveloped by then Kingstown Town Council in 1910 and operated until 1997 when they were closed.

Irish Water To Invest €10.5m In Water Treatment Plant
Plans to upgrade Ballyboden Water Treatment Plant in Dublin have been unveiled by Irish Water. The €10.5 million investment would see the existing open water reservoir upgraded to provide safe and secure drinking water for communities in Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and South Dublin County.
