Man Arrested After Forcing Woman To Withdraw Money From ATM

Gardaí in Terenure have arrested a man in connection with a carjacking last Friday.

In the incident, a woman was stopped at traffic lights when a man got in to the back of her car. He claimed to have a weapon and he demanded money.

He then made the woman drive to her home to retrieve her bank cards, which she did, before making her drive to a cash machine and withdraw money.

He eventually left the car in Portobella.

The woman was not physically hurt in the incident.

Gardaí investigating the crime have arrested a 41-year-old, who remains in custody. The investigation is ongoing.

Woman Released Without Charge Over Donegal Murder
A woman arrested in connection with the murder of Seamus Donnelly has been released without charge. Mr Doherty was killed at his home in Drumacanoo on 17 June 2012. The woman, 57, was released this morning. A man, 51, who was arrested on Wednesday is still being questioned by garda.

Body Found In Search For Missing Woman
Gardaí investigating the disappearance of Pamela Kenny have confirmed they have found a body. Ms Kenny, 52, was last seen in Delwood, Castleknock, on Monday (2 March) at around 10.30am. An appeal was launched into her whereabouts. Gardaí have since confirmed the body is that of Ms Kenny.

A man and woman have been arrested after a quantity of cannabis herb was seized following a stop and search of a vehicle in Ballymote yesterday evening (Monday 9 September). Gardaí stopped a car on the N4, Castlebaldwin, Ballymote, Co Sligo.

Two Arrested And Firearms Found In Co Wicklow
Two people have been arrested and firearms recovered in County Wicklow, according to Gardaí on Friday. A spokesman said that at approximately 11.20am Wednesday, Gardaí carrying out a checkpoint on the N11 at Coynes Cross, Ashford, stopped and searched a motor car, during which two hand guns were recovered.

Body Of Missing Woman Frankie Devlin Found
Gardaí have reported that the body of Frankie Devlin was recovered on Wednesday 9 October. Ms Devlin (67) was reported missing on Saturday 5 October and a search operation had been ongoing. The discovery was made on the same day that garda had renewed an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Ms Devlin.
