Man Dies Fleeing Raid On Garda Officers Home

A man has died following a raid on the home of senior garda officers in Co Waterford.

According to reports it is believed that the man was part of group who attacked the home of senior garda officer in Dungarvan on Thursday night.

The details of exactly what occurred have not been released, but it is believed that in fleeing the scene of the raid, the man may have drowned in a nearby river.

The garda is understood to have been hit with a bottle in the attack.

Three other men have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Garda say no more details are available and that the investigation is ongoing.

Human Remains Confirmed As Those Of Dublin Teen
Human remains discovered outside a house in the Coolock area of north Dublin have been confirmed as those of a 17 year-old juvenile. Forensic Science Ireland said the partial remains found in Moatview Drive, Priorswood on Monday 13 January are those of Keane Mulready-Woods. The teenager had been missing since Sunday 12.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Woman's Body Found At House In Co Meath
Gardaí in Co Meath have discovered the body of a woman at a house in Longwood. According to gardaí they discovered the woman's body at around 17:00 on Monday at a house in Edgeworth Court. An injured man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was also found at the scene and is being treated at Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar.

Gardaí Injured During Drugs Raid
A man has been arrested after three gardaí were injured during a drug search in County Louth on Friday. The incident occurred at a property in Termonfeckin after 9am. The officers are believed to have been attacked with a knife and a pitbull dog was set on them. A man in his 30s is being held at Drogheda Garda Station.

Cocaine Seized In Co Clare Raid
Cocaine and cannabis with an estimated street value of €20,000 has been seized and a 40-year-old man arrested in Co Clare. According to Gardaí a search was carried out at a house in Finian Park in Shannon at around 20:30 on Tuesday night. The man as arrested at the scene and if currently being detained at Shannon Garda Station.
