Appeal For Information Following Early Morning Assault

Gardaí in Dublin have appealed for information following an assault in the city on Thursday morning.

A man, said to in his 30s, was attacked outside a shop in Summerhill shortly after 9am. He is being treated at the Mater Hospital for head injuries, which are not said to be life threatening.

It is understood that number of people were involved in the attack.

The scene in Summerhill Parade has been preserved pending a forensic examination.

Appeal For Witnesses To Early Morning Shooting In Dublin
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in Dublin this morning. According to garda a man was shot just after 9am on Thursday morning on Clonard Street. The victim has been taken to hospital but no details of his condition have been released. The scene of the shooting has been sealed off pending a technical examination.

Fresh Gardaí Appeal After Alleged Fatal Assault In Kerry
Gardaí have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a man died following an alleged assault in Kilorglin, County Kerry. The incident happened early on Sunday morning, 09 February. The 32-year-old was assaulted at a fast food outlet at the Square in Kilorglin at around 2.40am. He later died at Cork University Hospital.

Appeal For Information In Ballyfermot Assault Investigation
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses of a serious assault in Ballyfermot in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Garda were called to reports of an alleged assault at a property on Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown at about 03:45 this morning. Two men were found at the scene and have been taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital.

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information following the alleged rape of a woman in Dublin in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 11 December. According to garda a woman went to a south Dublin garda station to report begin attacked sometime between midnight and 2am this morning.

Garda Seize Firearms And Explosives During Monaghan Searches
A number of firearms and explosive components have been seized by Garda during searches in Monaghan. The searches were carried out in the Scotstown area on Wednesday, 25 November. Various firearms including AK47 assault rifles, mortars, detonators, detonating cord and other component parts of IED's were recovered.
