Two Arrested In Cabra Death Investigation

Gardaí investigating the death of a 21-year-old man found outside a pub in the early hours of Tuesday morning have arrested two men.

Jason Saunders, of Fassaugh Avenue, was found outside the Cabra House pub suffering serious head injuries at about 7:30am on Tuesday. It is believed that Mr Sauders had been beaten with a golf club with he was attacked shortly after leaving a party.

He was pronounced dead at the Mater Hospital a short time after arriving.

Gardaí investigating the attack on Mr Sauders have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder. And a 25-year-old man on suspicion of withholding information.

Garda also carried out a search of a flat where the party is thought to have been held. It is understood that a number of men at the flat left with garda officers.

Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning. Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. A gun and ammunition were also discovered. A 37-year=old has been arrested and is being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station.

Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Michael Devoy Released
A man arrested in connection with the murder of Michael Devoy has been released without charge. The body of the 41-year-old, from Ballymun in Dublin, was found at Foxhill on 18 January 2014. A man in his 20s was being questioned by officers at Tallaght Garda Station. He has since been released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
