Three In Court Following Tipperary Attack
Three of the five men arrested in relation to the shooting and stabbing of two men in Tipperary yesterday are appearing in Roscrea District Court this Thursday morning.
The other two men were released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions regarding their detentions.
A total of five men were arrested following the attack during which one-man received stab wounds to his back and a second man received a gun shot wound to his leg.
One of the men was taken to the Regional Hospital Limerick and the second man to South Tipperary Hospital.
Both sustained injuries not believed to be life threatening.
Officers from Tipperary Town and Gardaí from Limerick as part of their investigation stopped a car on Tipperary Road, Ballysimon, Limerick City. The men in the car, all in their 20s, were arrested.
They were being detained in Tipperary Town, Cahir, Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda stations.

Teen Arrested After Man Is Shot In The Face In Limerick
Gardai are appealing for information after a man was shot in the face in Limerick on Sunday. A 21-year-old was shot at Hyde Road shortly after midnight. He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where his injuries are described as not life threatening. A 19-year-old has bee arrested in connection with the incident.

Woman's Body Discovered In Ennis
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a woman's body in Ennis early today, Tuesday 04 February. The body was found at about 6am this morning by a passer-by on a walkway alongside the River Fergus. It is understood that garda do not believe the woman's death to be suspicious "at this stage".

Three Killed In Separate Traffic Collisions
Three men died in two separate road traffic collisions yesterday. Two men were tragically killed after the pick-up truck in which they were travelling collided with a tree in Tipperary. Both men were brought to Tipperary General Hospital.

Detention Period Extended For Armed Raid Suspects
Gardaí have been approval to extend the detention of seven men arrested in connection with a violent robbery at a house in Co Tipperary. A gang of armed men broke into the family of Mark and Emma Corcoran and their three children. The family were threatened before the gang escaped with cash, jewellery and the family 4x4 car.
