Man Found With Serious Injuries Following Suspected Assault

Garda in Cavan have arrested two men and a woman in connection with a suspected assault on a 55-year-old man in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to garda the victim was found at about 03:00 at the Stonebridge apartments suffering serious injuries.

Two men and woman were subsequently arrested in connection with the suspected assault.

A forensic examination of the scene is underway.

Teenager In Serious Condition Following Suspected Assault
A teenage boy is in a serious condition in hospital following a suspected assault in Tipperary Town late on Thursday night. The boy was found with serious head injuries at Lakelands, Tipperary Town at 10.50pm. He remains in a serious condition in South Tipperary General Hospital. Another teenage boy was arrested in connection with the incident.

A garda has been arrested by Garda Ombudsman Commission investigators and is being questioned about a sexual attack. The garda has been suspended by the Garda Commissioner and is being detained at Loughrea Garda Station. He is the first member of the force to be arrested by the Garda Ombudsman.

Men Arrested In Connection With Serious Sexual Assault After Concert
Gardaí in Cork have arrested two men in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault, following a Jason Derulo concert in the city. Two women, understood to be aged 18 and 19, reported to garda that they had been seriously sexually assaulted by two men they met in a nearby nightclub, following the concert.

Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information on a suspected sexual assault in Dublin in the early hours of Sunday, 09 December. It is understood that the victim was brought from Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge through the city centre to Emmet Street in Dublin 1 in a white taxi.
