Staff In Sit-In At Closed Limerick Store
Thirty former employees of Limerick independent food store Ivans of Caherdavin are holding a sit-in.
The store announced its closure earlier this week.
The staff are occupying the store in a dispute over pay cheques and redundancy packages.
It is understood that the workers claim they were given no notice of closure, only finding out about the closure the night before the public announcement.

Two-Year-Old Child Killed In Fatal Traffic Collision
A two-year-old boy has been killed in a serious road traffic collision in County Wicklow. At approximately 4.30pm on Monday 17 July, the child was struck by a car at Silverbridge in Bray, Co Wicklow. The boy was taken to Crumlin Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.

Woman And Son Killed In Co Galway Crash
An investigation has been launched into the death of a woman and her 14-year-old son in a collision in Co Galway. According to reports, the woman and boy died when their car hit a tree at about 9.45pm on Sunday in Ballaghlea, Ballygar. The woman, believed to be aged in her 30s, and the boy were pronounced dead at the scene.

Garda in Wexford have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic accident on Tuesday evening. A man in his 60s has died in the single vehicle collision at Clone, Ferns at about 6:20pm last night. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The scene remains closed pending a forensic examination.

A passenger in the car, a 26-year-old man, was taken to St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown. He is said to have sustained minor injuries.
