Two Injured In Stabbing Incident

A man and woman are being treated in hospital for stab wounds after being attacked in Ballymun in Dublin.

Gardaí believe that the woman was attacked and stabbed by an unknown man on Coultry Place at around 10am on Monday morning.

The injured man is thought to have intervened and was subsequently stabbed.

Both are being treated in hospital. The garda investigation is ongoing.

Man Dies In Stabbing Incident
A 30-year-old has died and a second man has been injured in a stabbing incident in Tullamore, Co Offaly, shortly after 7am this morning. It is believed there had been an argument in a house in the area and a Polish man was killed. The other man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Arrested Following Stabbing Incident
A man has taken to hospital after being stabbed in Co Wexford. The male, 34, was stabbed at a house on Grange Road at around 9.30pm on Thursday night. His condition is described as serious but stable. Gardai have arrested a 60-year-old man. He is currently being detained at New Ross Garda station.

Man Questioned Over Dublin Stabbing
A man is being questioned after a man was found stabbed to death at a house in Co Dublin. Michael Gannon, 55, was attacked in his daughter's home at Mourne Park, Skerries, on Thursday evening. It is understood he was babysitting his two grandchildren at the time. The attack happened shortly before 6pm.

Arrest Follows Latest Belfast Stabbing
A 24-year-old old man has been stabbed in the neck and hands in Belfast city centre. He was attacked in Skipper Street on Tuesday evening. Belfast Alliance Councillor Catherine Curran has expressed her shock after the assault and said: "I am shocked that such a vicious attack was carried out in Belfast city centre.

Further Appeals In Taxi Stabbing Inquiry
Gardaí are continuing their appeal for a couple to come forward in connection to the murder of a man in Blanchardstown on Tuesday evening. Mark Smyth, a 31-year-old taxi driver from the Hawthorns, Duleek, Co Meath was attacked in the Fortlawn estate. He had been stabbed a number of times in the neck and chest.
