Man Injured In Limerick Shooting
Gardaí in Limerick have reported that a 26-year-old man has been injured in a shooting in the city.
According to reports the shooting took place at around 21:30 on Thursday night at Byrne Avenue in Prospect.
The man is being treated at University Hospital Limerick for gunshot wounds to the stomach.
A 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting and gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them at Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061-214340, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

An elderly man has been arrested after a man in his 60s was shot dead in County Mayo. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene in Aghamore, Ballyhaunis shortly before midnight on Tuesday, 17 September. It is understood the elderly man heard noises outside his property before the shots were fired.

Shots Fired At House In Limerick City
Gardaí in Limerick have arrested two men in connection with a shooting in the city. It is understood that shots were fired at a house in the New Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. A 22-year-old woman and two teenage boys who were in the house at the time, escaped without injury.

Gardaí are questioning five people following the fatal shooting of a man in Co Limerick on Tuesday night, The 25-year-old was shot dead on the main Tipperary Road outside Limerick city around 9.30pm. It is understood that the man was shot several times. He was taken to Mid-Western Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A missing 24-year-old man has been found "safe and well". Alex Sherwin had been reported missing on Sunday, with garda issuing a public appeal for assistance. No information on Mr Sherwin's whereabouts have been released, but garda said the investigation had now ended. They thanked the public for their help.

Man Dies In Limerick Collision
A man has died in a crash in Co Limerick. The car veered off the road and hit a ditch at Dromsallagh at around 4.15am on Sunday, 05 June. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man is currently being treated for his injuries at the University Hospital Limerick. The road has been re-opened.
