Dublin Bus Push Ahead With Cost Saving Plan

Dublin Bus has announced a series of productivity and cost reduction measures.

Following a year of negotiations with unions over the proposed cuts, the company said it has no option but to immediately implement its Cost Reduction Plan.

A recommendation was made by the Labour Court on June 17, after a year of negotiations with unions had been unsuccessful and no savings had been made.

All trade unions have voted to reject the recommendations, with Dublin Bus saying the move was "critical" to achieve annual savings of €11.7 million and return the company to financial stability.
